Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem games coming to smartphones ⊟

Nintendo calls both “pure game applications” and plans to release them this fall.

The Fire Emblem app will be “more accessible” than traditional Fire Emblem, but “offer the great value of a role-playing strategy game.” Sorry about all the quotes – I don’t know anything about these so Nintendo’s descriptions are all we get. We can imagine a future of microtransactions for each blue-haired sword person.

Anyway, Animal Crossing “will be connected with the world of Animal Crossing for dedicated gaming systems.” (My guess: it connects to New Leaf)

Nintendo’s existing smartphone app, Miitomo, crossed 10 million users, and accordingly Nintendo is holding a “Celebrating 10 Million Users!” promotion from April 29 to May 8. Go get some… I don’t know, coins or a hat or whatever.
