I don’t know if you know, but last month they announced that Kusaka and Yamamoto will be going through a country-wide tour through Japan’s Pokemon Centers to sign autographs.
These special clearfiles and postcards are what’s going to be given out there.
And no, the second postcard does not mean the other Pokedex holders are going to show up. It isn’t even new artwork or anything.
It seems to me that, when Kusaka was working on the Firered/Leafgreen arc, he said to himself, “You know, the readers have a lot of attachment to these characters. I’m going to do an experiment, and see in just how many ways the human heart can possibly be broken.”
